So we are officially down to 7 days to go. This time next week we will back in Rochester. It's hard to believe that this journey is coming to an end. We have seen so much and met so many interesting people I don't know where to begin! This has surely been a life changing experience for both of us- but we are very ready to be back. I am looking forward to working part-time, volunteering, and continuing to learn the craft of photography. We have a beautiful niece who we have seen grow up through Facebook, friends that have passed away, and have seen major events unfold in both the US and the places we called home for short periods of time. We have fought through illness and bad luck and have become stronger because of it. I feel I have bettered myself in many ways: as a husband, photographer, and person of this world. We feel very fortunate to have been able to do what we have done and plan on continuing to travel after a short hiatus. We barley scratched the surface of many of the places we visited and had to shorten our journey a couple times. Our original plan had us finishing in Morocco, Portugal, and Spain..these places will be there for us to experience down the road. Now it is time to go home.
I have begun the difficult process of outlining a wrap-up post and selecting my favorite images to print for showing. Once we get settled in and have a studio space I will send out information. Keep posted and enjoy this last (?) batch of images. I also have many rolls of film to develop when I return so I have that to look forward to!
